Day 58-6: +$77.50 (+19 BB at $2/4)

Level: -$41.50 in 11.67 table hours (-10 BB at $2/4)
Overall: +$278.65 in 121.83 table hours

I backed down to one table because I only had $81 to start the day, which isn't enough to run two tables. Fortunately, I ran well and got myself back up a bit. Even though I'm approximately at the right amount to go up to two tables again, I think I'll stick with one for a while longer. I seem to focus better, which is probably what I need now more than anything else.

I ran into another aggrobluffer today. We ended up basically even with each other. This surprised me at first because I thought I was getting the better of him by a lot, but then I realized how many times he hit outs to beat me. He also stole the blinds (OOP) many times from me as I wasn't always picking hand that I could play, plus SB was calling often, making it harder for me to win postflop. I was surprised at how much the table just stayed out of his way and let him take their money. It's things like that which encourage me to be too aggressive sometimes.

Hand 1: This was my first hand with aggrobluffer. He had only been at the table for a few hands, so I didn't have enough of a read to really do much.

Preflop: Hero is Button with Ad, Jc.
2 folds, Button raises, SB calls, 1 fold.

Flop: (5 SB) Ts, Th, 8s (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, SB calls.

Turn: (3.50 BB) 4d (2 players)
SB bets, Hero folds.

Hand 2: This came up a little bit later, after I knew he was capable of throwing out lots of bluffs and semibluffs.

Preflop: Hero is Button with 8d, Ac.
3 folds, Hero raises, 1 fold, BB calls.

Flop: (4.50 SB) 6c, Ad, 7c (2 players)
BB bets, Hero raises, BB 3-bets, Hero calls.

Turn: (5.25 BB) 5c (2 players)
BB bets, Hero calls.

River: (7.25 BB) 6h (2 players)
BB bets, Hero calls.

Results:
BB has 9s 8c (straight, nine high).
Hero has 8d Ac (two pair, aces and sixes).
Outcome: BB wins 9.25 BB.

Hand 3: By this point, I felt as if I wanted to go to showdown with my mediocre hands because he was betting so often. This is why I checked behind on the the turn. I knew he would be betting almost any two on the end.

Preflop: Hero is CO with As, 6s.
2 folds, Hero raises, 1 fold, SB 3-bets, 1 fold, Hero calls.

Flop: (7 SB) 2d, Kc, 6d (2 players)
SB bets, Hero calls.

Turn: (4.50 BB) 5s (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks.

River: (4.50 BB) 8d (2 players)
SB bets, Hero calls.

Results:
SB has Ah Th (high card, ace).
Hero has As 6s (one pair, sixes).

Hand 4: I debated playing this one slowly to let him bluff, but I decided to just play fast and hope things go well.

Preflop: Hero is Button with As, Tc.
3 folds, Button raises, 1 fold, BB calls.

Flop: (4.50 SB) Ac, 2s, 3h (2 players)
BB bets, Hero raises, BB folds.

Hand 5: I checked this preflop because I don't have a large advantage OOP against a very aggressive player and the SB limper. On the flop, I checked because I wanted to use relative position to gauge the strength of my hand. On a draw-happy board like this one, I know villain is going to bet a very very wide range of hands worse than mind. However, I know he can go 3 bets with a weak draw, so I want to keep the spewage to a minimum.

Preflop: Hero is BB with As, Td.
1 fold, MP calls, 2 folds, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: (3 SB) 2s, 8h, Jh (3 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, MP bets, SB folds, Hero calls.

Turn: (2.50 BB) 8c (2 players)
Hero checks, MP bets, Hero calls.

River: (4.50 BB) 6s (2 players)
Hero checks, MP bets, Hero calls.

Results:
Hero has As Td (one pair, eights).
MP has Qh Th (one pair, eights).

Hand 6: I tried to play it slowly, but villain didn't want to play this time. Based on what I know, I think he decided he was going to take just one stab at this. Potentially, I could check behind on the turn and try to make him bluff the river. But I'd rather just value bet and hope he calls.

Preflop: Hero is Button with 7s, Ac.
3 folds, Hero raises, 1 fold, BB calls.

Flop: (4.50 SB) 5c, Ah, As (2 players)
BB bets, Hero calls.

Turn: (3.25 BB) 4d (2 players)
BB checks, Button bets, BB folds.

Hand 7: I thought about checking behind on the turn and calling a river bet, but I decided to value bet. Then he decided to bluff anyway when the straight/flush card came. Of course, I know that if he had a straight/flush draw, he would be betting the turn.

Preflop: Hero is Button with Js, Ac.
2 folds, Hero raises, SB calls, 1 fold.

Flop: (5 SB) 5c, Th, 8c (2 players)
SB bets, Hero calls.

Turn: (3.50 BB) 3h (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, SB calls.

River: (5.50 BB) 6h (2 players)
SB bets, Hero calls.

Results:
SB has 9h As (high card, ace).
Hero has Js Ac (high card, ace).

Hand 8: Oops... he hit his draw this time.

Preflop: Hero is SB with Qs, Ad.

3 folds, Hero raises, BB calls.

Flop: (4 SB) 7s, 7d, 9h (2 players)
Hero bets, BB raises, Hero calls.

Turn: (4 BB) Jc (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, Hero calls.

River: (6 BB) 9c (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, Hero calls.

Results:
BB has 8s Ts (straight, jack high).
Hero has Qs Ad (two pair, nines and sevens).

Hand 9: Another chance to let him bluff.

Preflop: Hero is SB with 6h, Ac.
3 folds, Hero raises, BB 3-bets, Hero calls.

Flop: (6 SB) 8c, Jh, 6d (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, Hero calls.

Turn: (4 BB) Qs (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, Hero calls.

River: (6 BB) Qc (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, Hero calls.

Results:
BB has 4h Ah (one pair, queens).
Hero has 6h Ac (two pair, queens and sixes).

Hand 10: He drew to his 3-outer. I almost check-raised the turn for value (which might have folded him, actually). This might be considered a leak because I am missing lots of value on the turn when I let him get away for just one bet.

Preflop: Hero is BB with Kd, Jc.
UTG calls, MP calls, 2 folds, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: (4 SB) Jh, 9d, Qc (4 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, UTG checks, MP bets, SB folds, Hero calls, UTG folds.

Turn: (3 BB) 6d (2 players)
Hero checks, MP bets, Hero calls.

River: (5 BB) Ac (2 players)
Hero checks, MP bets, Hero calls.

Results:
Hero has Kd Jc (one pair, jacks).
MP has 7h Ah (one pair, aces).

Hand 11: It was hard not to laugh at this hand. It's almost as if he turned his hand face up on the turn, but I didn't believe my eyes and paid it off. I don't think I would fold here ever against this player just because he was so erratic. I was going to raise the turn on a non-club.

Preflop: Hero is Button with Jh, 9d.
3 folds, Hero raises, 1 fold, BB 3-bets, Hero calls.

Flop: (6.50 SB) 9h, 9c, 3c (2 players)
BB bets, Hero raises, BB 3-bets, Hero calls.

Turn: (6.25 BB) 5c (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks.

River: (6.25 BB) 4s (2 players)
BB bets, Hero calls.

Results:
BB has Kc Tc (flush, king high).
Hero has Jh 9d (three of a kind, nines).

Hand 12: Here's another missed raise on the turn. I don't know if he's calling, but I need to really get comfortable raising here. I think the river king was enough to freeze him up. Too bad for me.

Preflop: Hero is Button with 7h, Ac.
2 folds, Hero raises, SB 3-bets, 1 fold, Hero calls.

Flop: (7 SB) 6h, 6d, 4c (2 players)
SB bets, Hero calls.

Turn: (4.50 BB) As (2 players)
SB bets, Hero calls.

River: (6.50 BB) Kh (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, SB folds.

Playing KQ Out of Position

I didn't play any hands of poker yesterday, but I did start a series of threads over at the MicroLimit forum. Below, you'll find the introduction and the links. I think it generated some interesting discussion. If anything, I would advise paying attention to Entity. He's been posting there for at least as long as I have (I think) and he's shown himself to be a very good poster and a very good player.

-------------------------------

Rather than play poker today, I decided I would do a careful study of a specific hand. I think that I generally need to do more studying because I think my play is starting to turn a little LAG-tastic and bad. At first I was going to do AK, but I decided that KQ might be more interesting. Specifically, I'm looking at $2/4 Pokerstars 6-max hands where I had KQ from the blinds. The stats that are provided may not have been available at the time of the hand.

I give away all the action, the results, and my thoughts right up front. Even though stats are included, I may or may not have had them at the time of the hand. While critiques of how I played my hand would be fine, I think you should really focus on the thoughts that I lay out. I've left out the ones that were super-standard (raise preflop, hit a K or Q, bet-bet-bet-profit). Some of these feel standard, but they may be closer decisions.

Some of you will complain a little about flooding the forum with 8 threads, but it looks like today is a pretty slow day anyway. Plus, 8 hands is just too many for one thread. I actually put this all together in one post and realized that the length made it completely unbearable. I will try to wait some time in between my posts as a courtesy.

Here is a brief description of hands so that you know what is about to come.

Hand 1: 3-betting KQs from SB and getting capped
Hand 2: KQs calling from SB against Button's raise in a multiway pot
Hand 3: Raising a limper OOP with KQs
Hand 4: Raising when SB limps HU with KQs
Hand 5: Checked from BB with KQo and got lots of flop action with TP
Hand 6: Raising KQo from SB against two limpers and flopping an ace
Hand 7: Failed isolation attempt against a button raise
Hand 8: Folding KQo from BB.

Day 57-5: -$111.00 (-28 BB at $2/4)

Level: -$119.00 in 9.73 table hours (-30 BB at $2/4)
Overall: +$201.15 in 119.90 table hours

Over halfway to busto again. I'm a little bit tilty right now, and I need to put that away or else I'm doomed to repeat $1/2 again (I might be doomed to repeat it anyway for other reasons).

Hand 1: If I'm going to do this, I think I have to bet the river. Villain donked quite often, and it seemed like he didn't need much (or anything at all). Turns out I was reverse dominated... What this *DOES* tell me is that I should be waiting for the turn to value raise against him.

Preflop: Hero is MP with Ah, Qs.
1 fold, Hero raises, 2 folds, BB calls.

Flop: (4.50 SB) 3d, Ts, 2d (2 players)
BB bets, Hero calls.

Turn: (3.25 BB) 7h (2 players)
BB bets, Hero raises, BB calls.

River: (7.25 BB) 4c (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks.

Results:
BB has Qc 2h (one pair, twos).
Hero has Ah Qs (high card, ace).

Hand 2: I was pretty uncomfortable on the turn. Villain to my left was pretty aggro and I felt he might bluff-raise (especially because I had a weak table image at the time). So I checked to see what the action would be. I had a third place chopping hand. I should have value bet the river.

Preflop: Hero is MP with Ad, Tc.
1 fold, Hero raises, Button calls, SB calls, 1 fold.

Flop: (7 SB) 4d, 3c, 4h (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, Button calls, SB calls.

Turn: (5 BB) 3s (3 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, Button bets, SB calls, Hero calls.

River: (8 BB) Td (3 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, Button checks.

Results:
Hero has Ad Tc (two pair, tens and fours).
Button has As Jd (two pair, fours and threes).
SB has Qh Ac (two pair, fours and threes).

Hand 3: I don't know if I mind losing this one. He had a good draw that came in. Raise preflop? Yeah. This is a part of being tilty.

Preflop: Hero is BB with Qh, Kd.
UTG calls, MP calls, 2 folds, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: (4 SB) 6s, Ts, Qc (4 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, UTG raises, MP folds, SB folds, Hero 3-bets, UTG caps, Hero calls.

Turn: (6 BB) 5c (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets, Hero calls.

Hero checks, UTG bets, Hero calls.

Results:
Hero has Qh Kd (one pair, queens).
UTG has Qs 5s (two pair, queens and fives).

Hand 4: This hand makes me think that maybe I should bluff more on the river and pretend I have AK more often than I do.

Preflop: Hero is BB with Jd, Kd.
UTG calls, 2 folds, SB completes, BB raises, UTG calls, SB calls.

Flop: (6 SB) 2h, 6c, 7d (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, UTG folds, SB calls.

Turn: (4 BB) 5c (2 players)
SB bets, Hero calls.

River: (6 BB) Kh (2 players)
SB bets, Hero raises, SB folds.

Hand 5: Steal hits top pair and a turn raise. It's a really unimpressive card that only brought a flush draw, so I didn't think it changed much. So either I got slowplayed or he was full of crap. Turns out to be the former.

Preflop: Hero is SB with Kc, 5s.
2 folds, Hero raises, BB calls.

Flop: (4 SB) 7d, Ks, 9h (2 players)
Hero bets, BB calls.

Turn: (3 BB) 2d (2 players)
Hero bets, BB raises, Hero calls.

River: (7 BB) Tc (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, Hero calls.

Results:
Hero has Kc 5s (one pair, kings).
BB has Qs Kh (one pair, kings).

Hand 6: Fold an overpair because the board pairs? I don't think so...

Preflop: Hero is SB with Qh, Qd.
UTG calls, 1 fold, Hero raises, 1 fold, UTG calls.

Flop: (5 SB) Js, 3s, 7h (2 players)
Hero bets, UTG calls.

Turn: (3.50 BB) 7c (2 players)
Hero bets, UTG raises, Hero calls.

River: (7.50 BB) 3c (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets, Hero calls.

Results:
Hero has Qh Qd (two pair, queens and sevens).
UTG has 6c 7d (full house, sevens full of threes).

Hand 7: I should have either called the river or got out on the turn.

Preflop: Hero is SB with Qc, Tc.
UTG calls, MP calls, Button calls, Hero completes, BB checks.

Flop: (5 SB) 4d, 5d, Ts (5 players)

Turn: (5.50 BB) 2c (3 players)
Hero bets, MP raises, Button calls, Hero calls.

River: (11.50 BB) Kc (3 players)
Hero checks, MP bets, Button folds, Hero folds.

Hand 8: Another top pair against top pair hand where I lose.

Preflop: Hero is Button with Qc, 9c.
2 folds, Hero raises, SB calls, 1 fold.

Flop: (5 SB) Qh, 5c, 3h (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, SB raises, Hero calls.

Turn: (4.50 BB) 8d (2 players)
SB bets, Hero calls.

River: (6.50 BB) 2s (2 players)
SB bets, Hero calls.

Results:
SB has Qs Ah (one pair, queens).
Hero has Qc 9c (one pair, queens).

Hand 9: Even when I suck out, I lose. I was actually expecting to see AQ or JT. I don't know if this is a bet-call or bet-fold situation.

Preflop: Hero is BB with 7s, 6h.
3 folds, Button raises, 1 fold, Hero calls.

Flop: (4.50 SB) Jh, Ks, 6c (2 players)

Level: -$8.00 in 8.48 table hours (-2 BB at $2/4)
Overall: +$312.15 in 118.65 table hours

I just don't do well at the LAG tables... maybe it's variance, or maybe I just don't quite know how to deal with the hyper-aggression, but I seem to get run over by them. I went busto on two separate tables today, costing me $200. On the other hand, there was another table where I was up $70 to mediate the loss. I don't know what it is.

Hand 1: Aces cracked. I think I can fold this river, but I was a little frustrated. I was, however, surprised to see what was shown down.

Preflop: Hero is CO with Ac, Ah.
UTG calls, 1 fold, Hero raises, Button 3-bets, SB calls, 1 fold, UTG folds, Hero caps, Button calls, SB calls.

Flop: (14 SB) 7d, Kd, 5c (3 players)

SB bets, Hero calls, Button folds.

Results:
SB has Ks Js (three of a kind, kings).
Hero has Ac Ah (two pair, aces and kings).

Hand 2: Trip aces lose on the river. Was the river raise too much? I was expecting to beat a worse trip aces here quite often...

Preflop: Hero is Button with Ks, As.
1 fold, MP calls, Hero raises, 1 fold, BB calls, MP calls.

Flop: (6.50 SB) 2s, Ad, 9s (3 players)

Flop: (10.50 SB) Ts, 2c, Jh (3 players)

Day 55-3: +$125.50 (+31 BB at $2/4)

Level: +$121.50 in 6.17 table hours (+30 BB at $2/4)
Overall: +$441.65 in 116.33 table hours

Horray for a nice rush of cards. Almost everything from today came from the winnings of just one of the two tables. The other table fluctuated wildly and ended up breaking even. One of the down sides of running hot is that you feel like you're playing perfectly and everything is going your way.

Hand 1: River check? This villain had been donking a lot of hands when I check to him, so I was hoping to induce a bluff from a missed flush draw. It failed, but I don't think he was calling anyway. I think it's a good check against aggressive villains who won't be able to keep themselves from bluffing or even value betting. (Try to squeeze a value check-raise? That would be fun. I'll have to think about that because I don't value check raise the river very often.)

Preflop: Hero is BB with Ah, As.
1 fold, MP calls, 3 folds, Hero raises, MP calls.

Flop: (4.50 SB) Qd, Kd, 9d (2 players)
Hero bets, MP calls.

Turn: (3.25 BB) 5c (2 players)
Hero bets, MP calls.

River: (5.25 BB) 4s (2 players)
Hero checks, MP checks.

Results:
Hero has Ah As (one pair, aces).
MP has 8h Tc (high card, king).

Hand 2: Here's a wild hand that I wasn't sure what to do with. The pot was so big on the flop I felt that I had no choice but to raise. However, when he checked the turn, I don't think it was a good place to bluff, despite the huge pot because his flop 3-bet indicates that he's likely getting to showdown. I actually bet the river, but he had a terrible connection and timed-out, going all-in. Too bad it didn't get a fold...

Preflop: Hero is Button with Ac, Qc.
UTG raises, 1 fold, CO calls, Hero 3-bets, SB caps, 1 fold, UTG calls, CO calls, Hero calls.

Flop: (17 SB) 2h, 4h, 8s (4 players)
SB checks, UTG checks, CO bets, Hero raises, SB folds, UTG folds, CO 3-bets, Hero calls.

Turn: (11.50 BB) Kh (2 players)
CO checks, Hero bets, CO calls.

River: (13.50 BB) 6h (2 players)

Results:
CO has 2c 4c (two pair, fours and twos).
Hero has Ac Qc (high card, ace).

Hand 3: I don't always like to 3-bet preflop with strong drawing hands OOP. I would rather give up the initiative and small value edge for having relative position on the preflop raiser. I think as I get better, I could probably milk more value out of these hands.

Preflop: Hero is SB with Jd, Ad.
UTG raises, MP calls, 1 fold, Button calls, Hero calls, BB calls.

Flop: (10 SB) As, 2d, Ks (5 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, UTG checks, MP checks, Button checks.

Turn: (5 BB) 3s (5 players)
Hero bets, BB calls, UTG folds, MP calls, Button folds.

River: (8 BB) Qh (3 players)
Hero bets, BB folds, MP folds.

Hand 4: The turn check-raise was pretty uncomfortable, which was why I didn't 3-bet. I don't like 3-betting turn raises/check-raises because I'm very used to them being monsters. But when he checked the river to me, I had no choice but to value bet it.

Preflop: Hero is Button with Ac, Jc.
3 folds, Hero raises, 1 fold, BB calls.

Flop: (4.50 SB) Kc, Qs, 7c (2 players)

BB checks, Hero bets, BB raises, Hero calls.

River: (7.25 BB) Js (2 players)

Flop: (6.50 SB) 6c, As, Kd (3 players)

UTG checks, Hero bets, UTG calls.

Results:
UTG has Ah 2h (three of a kind, aces).
Hero has Jc Ad (three of a kind, aces).

Hand 6: Horray for villains overplaying weak weak draws. This was a heads up situation because the table just broke.

Preflop: Hero is BB with 9s, Ah.
Button raises, Hero calls.

Flop: (4 SB) 5h, Td, 3d (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets, Hero calls.

River: (9 BB) 6c (2 players)
Hero checks, Button checks.

Results:
Button has Ac 4s (high card, ace).
Hero has 9s Ah (one pair, nines).

Hand 7: This flop peel might have been a little loose with nothing more than a backdoor flush draw.

Preflop: Hero is MP with Ah, 8h.
UTG calls, Hero raises, 1 fold, Button 3-bets, 2 folds, UTG calls, Hero calls.

Flop: (10.50 SB) Jh, 2s, 5d (3 players)
UTG checks, Hero checks, Button bets, UTG calls, Hero calls.

Turn: (6.75 BB) 4h (3 players)
UTG checks, Hero checks, Button checks.

River: (6.75 BB) 6h (3 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets, Button calls, UTG folds.

Results:
Hero has Ah 8h (flush, ace high).
Button has As 6c (one pair, sixes).

Hand 8: I always wonder whether I should raise the flop here or expect him to bet the turn and raise there.

Preflop: Hero is Button with As, 2s.
2 folds, Hero raises, SB 3-bets, 1 fold, Hero calls.

Flop: (7 SB) 6s, 5h, 2h (2 players)

Turn: (5.50 BB) Tc (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, SB calls.

River: (7.50 BB) Jc (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks.

Results:
Hero has As 2s (one pair, twos).
SB has Kd Ad (high card, ace).

Hand 9: I can't believe I didn't get raised on the turn here. Fortunately, I drew out to win.

Preflop: Hero is SB with Kh, Jh.
UTG calls, MP calls, 1 fold, Hero raises, BB calls, UTG calls, MP calls.

Flop: (8 SB) Ks, Ah, 3h (4 players)
Hero bets, BB folds, UTG calls, MP calls.

Turn: (5.50 BB) Jc (3 players)

Day 54-2: -$59.50 (-15 BB at $2/4)

Level: -$4.00 in 3.67 table hours (-1 BB at $2/4)
Overall: +$316.15 in 113.83 table hours

I've labeled this as a 2-table day even though half the time was spent one-tabling. I went busto on my 20 BB buy-in at one of my tables and decided not to buy-in again (if I had wanted to buy-in again, I would have done so before I went busto). I feel that I played pretty well and just got unlucky, but I also recognize that I was at a bad seat at a very aggressive table (between two LAGs). I also ran into a very aggressive multitabler, the first one I've noticed who at least seems somewhat decent. At the other levels, the multitablers all seemed very weak postflop. It was a new experience (especially being in two complicated hands simultaneously against him), and I think I've got a few things to study and take away from it.

Hand 1: This is very likely supposed to be a bet-fold on the end. Fortunately, I wasn't put to the test on it.

Preflop: Hero is BB with Ac, Ad.
2 folds, Button raises, SB calls, Hero 3-bets, Button calls, SB calls.

Flop: (9 SB) Qd, Kc, Ts (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, Button folds, SB calls.

Turn: (5.50 BB) 5s (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, SB calls.

River: (7.50 BB) As (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, SB folds.

Hand 2: This was one of those confrontations with the very aggressive multitabler. I should have bet the turn since I raised the flop, but I was caught up with another hand against him at the same time and wasn't able to put it all together. Potentially, against an aggressive player, I could also just call the 3-bet preflop and play from there.

Preflop: Hero is UTG with Qd, As.
Hero raises, 3 folds, SB 3-bets, 1 fold, Hero caps, SB calls.

Flop: (9 SB) Ts, 8d, 6h (2 players)
SB bets, Hero raises, SB calls.

Turn: (6.50 BB) Td (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks.

River: (6.50 BB) Js (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks.

Results:
SB has Qs Ad (one pair, tens).
Hero has Qd As (one pair, tens).

Hand 3: This hand was played at the same time as the previous one. I thought about check-raising the turn, but decided I would rather just try to get to showdown against him. I think I lose some value out of playing that way.

Preflop: Hero is SB with Kd, Kh.
4 folds, Hero raises, BB calls.

Flop: (4 SB) 3h, 7c, Ah (2 players)
Hero bets, BB raises, Hero calls.

Turn: (4 BB) 9c (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, Hero calls.

River: (6 BB) Qd (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, Hero calls.

Results:
Hero has Kd Kh (one pair, kings).
BB has Qc 3s (two pair, queens and threes).

Hand 4: I feel like maybe I should have been able to get away from this one on the end. The MP is the aggressive multitabling villain. Notice his turn raise with two pair despite the turn donk into a preflop AND flop 3-bettor. I don't think I approve of that play.

Preflop: Hero is Button with Ad, Js.
1 fold, MP raises, 1 fold, Hero 3-bets, 1 fold, BB calls, MP calls.

Flop: (9.50 SB) Ac, 6c, Jd (3 players)
BB bets, MP raises, Button 3-bets, BB calls, MP calls.

Turn: (8.25 BB) Tc (3 players)
BB bets, MP raises, Hero calls, BB 3-bets, MP calls, Hero calls.

River: (17.25 BB) 4d (3 players)
BB bets, MP calls, Hero calls.

Results:
BB has 8c Kc (flush, ace high).
MP has Ah Td (two pair, aces and tens).
Hero has Ad Js (two pair, aces and jacks).

Hand 5: I tried to get a little aggro on the multitabler on this hand (it was as soon as I discovered he was a multitabler) to try to get him to fold a better ace. I'm not sure how good of a play this is. I don't know if he's going to call down with AK, which makes it harder to assess (as this is the crux of the matter).

Preflop: Hero is MP with Ah, Tc.
1 fold, Hero raises, CO 3-bets, 3 folds, Hero calls.

Flop: (7.50 SB) 4s, 2h, 3s (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets, Hero calls.

Turn: (4.75 BB) 6c (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets, Hero raises, CO calls.

River: (8.75 BB) 2s (2 players)
Hero bets, CO calls.

Hero has Ah Tc (one pair, twos).
CO has 9c 9h (two pair, nines and twos).

Hand 6: I wanted to 3-bet the turn here, but I'm not sure if I can get away with it often enough. Since I'm in position and drawing to a flush (as well as possibly having the best hand), I can save the extra value raise for when I hit the flush.

Preflop: Hero is Button with Js, Ks.
1 fold, MP raises, Hero 3-bets, 2 folds, MP calls.

Flop: (7.50 SB) Kd, Ts, Jd (2 players)
MP checks, Hero bets, MP raises, Hero 3-bets, MP calls.

Turn: (6.75 BB) 8s (2 players)
MP checks, Hero bets, MP raises, Hero calls.

River: (10.75 BB) 2s (2 players)
MP bets, Hero raises, MP calls.

Results:
MP has Kc Td (two pair, kings and tens).
Hero has Js Ks (flush, king high).

Hand 7: Here's another flopped two pair hand with KJs, except that I didn't get as much action with it. But I do like the villain that called me down.

Preflop: Hero is UTG with Js, Ks.
Hero raises, 2 folds, Button calls, SB calls, BB calls.

Flop: (8 SB) Kh, Jd, 2c (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets, Button calls, SB calls, BB folds.

Turn: (5.50 BB) 7h (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, Button folds, SB calls.

River: (7.50 BB) 7s (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, SB calls.

Results:
SB has Td As (one pair, sevens).
Hero has Js Ks (two pair, kings and jacks).

Hand 8: Here's a missed river check-raise against the multitabler. I was afraid that he may not bet a medium-strength hand, but in retrospect it seems pretty obvious that his action indicates he has a hand with good value. Why no preflop raise? I'm not sure.

Preflop: Hero is SB with Tc, Kc.
2 folds, CO calls, 1 fold, Hero completes, BB checks.

Flop: (3 SB) Js, Qs, 7d (3 players)
Hero bets, BB raises, CO calls, Hero calls.

Turn: (4.50 BB) 3h (3 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, CO calls, Hero calls.

River: (7.50 BB) 9d (3 players)
Hero bets, BB calls, CO folds.

Results:
Hero has Tc Kc (straight, king high).
BB has Qh 4s (one pair, queens).

Hand 9: This is a good example of what I meant by how aggressive the table was. Ironically, UTG complained about the river card before calling.

Preflop: Hero is BB with 9h, Kh.
UTG raises, MP calls, 2 folds, SB calls, Hero calls.

Flop: (8 SB) 9c, 8c, 2s (4 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, UTG bets, MP raises, SB folds, Hero 3-bets, UTG calls, MP caps, Hero calls, UTG calls.

Turn: (10 BB) Th (3 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets, MP calls, Hero calls.

River: (13 BB) 2c (3 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets, MP raises, Hero folds, UTG calls.

Results:
UTG has 8s Tc (two pair, tens and eights).
MP has 2h 2d (four of a kind, twos).
