Day 66-1: +$14.50 (+4 BB at $2/4)

I bought in for the $100 remaining in the $2/4 bankroll. I was worried about going busto twice in a row when I was down to $31. Fortunately, I pulled out of it and came back to being ahead $14.50. Not many hands to post this time.
Hand 1: Villain is known to be aggressive, but I didn't know how aggressive he was. The flop donk/call followed by the re-donk/3-bet had me really worried about some strangely played flopped big hand and he just didn't know how to handle it. It turned out he was just bad. You can argue about throwing in a river raise because I now beat Q6/Q7, but given the turn action, I wasn't entirely convinced that this card helped me (he could play a turned flush draw this way, I guess, but wouldn't pay it off unless he had a pair.)

I was taking a closer look at my stats today and I realized that I have made a $100 mistake. I actually crossed the desired threshold for $3/6 a while ago. When glancing at my stats, I forgot that I started with an initial bankroll of $100. This means that in order to be rolled for $3/6, I need to have made $500 profit. Instead, I was watching my stats for the $600 profit mark. Oh well.

Another somewhat swingy day. I think that keeping myself under control preflop and being more self-aware (aware of my own image) has really been helping me make better decisions. It's something that I know I track subconsciously (because I can recall the last few hands I played, and about when they were), but including it as part of the conscious thought process is helpful because I can understand it better.
Most of the session was played 3-4 handed as the tables kept breaking. I normally don't do so well in these situations because I don't think I adjust to aggression well (obviously, something I'll have to improve on if I expect to keep moving up). But I did well enough.
Amazingly, I'm $26.50 from moving up again. It's an exciting time...

Another somewhat swingy day. I think that keeping myself under control preflop and being more self-aware (aware of my own image) has really been helping me make better decisions. It's something that I know I track subconsciously (because I can recall the last few hands I played, and about when they were), but including it as part of the conscious thought process is helpful because I can understand it better.
Most of the session was played 3-4 handed as the tables kept breaking. I normally don't do so well in these situations because I don't think I adjust to aggression well (obviously, something I'll have to improve on if I expect to keep moving up). But I did well enough.
Amazingly, I'm $26.50 from moving up again. It's an exciting time...

I don't have enough information on the players that I'm playing against to really outplay them postflop. Yes, I'm getting some good information, but it's not enough to make really loose limps. I would rather end up as a 25/18 winning player than a 30/20 losing player.

After a full two weeks of not playing poker, I have finally found some time to play a few hands. It was a high variance day, starting off by taking a huge hit and then coming back thanks to an aggro-LAG who sat down at the table (and good cards).
Hand 1: I'm very surprised by the hands that got shown down here. I don't know if I like raising or folding more on this flop. Calling feels like it cannot possibly be right.
