Day 42-8: -$112.50 (-28 BB at $2/4)

Level: -$151.00 in 569 table minutes (-38 BB at $2/4)
Overall: +$155.90 in 5538 table minutes

It was another rough time out, even though the table was good. I just can't pick up cards when I need them. Absolution sweated me and he seemed to think I wasn't totally out of line, so I'm willing to blame variance, too. I did make a few river calls and such that I probably could have gotten away from, but those were small things.

Just as a side note, I'm $49 from BUSTO at this level.

Hand 1: Villain was raising light preflop (54o) and kept up the aggression when he had the lead, but I had not really seen much of his river play. He was aggressive enough that I felt he could bluff.

Preflop: Hero is BB with Ac, Ks. UTG posts a blind of $2.
UTG (poster) raises, 2 folds, Hero 3-bets, UTG calls.

Flop: (6.50 SB) Kh, Qs, 9d (2 players)
Hero bets, UTG calls.

Turn: (4.25 BB) 3s (2 players)
Hero bets, UTG calls.

River: (6.25 BB) Jd (2 players)
Hero bets, UTG raises, Hero calls.

Results:
Hero has Ac Ks (one pair, kings).
UTG has Js 9h (two pair, jacks and nines).
Outcome: UTG wins 10.25 BB.

Hand 2: I don't know if I like taking this passive line. It worked out okay this time...

Preflop: Hero is Button with Jh, Ah.
2 folds, CO calls, Hero raises, 1 fold, BB calls, CO calls.

Flop: (6.50 SB) 7d, 3h, 8c (3 players)
BB bets, CO calls, Hero calls.

Turn: (4.75 BB) Js (3 players)
BB bets, CO calls, Hero calls.

River: (7.75 BB) 2h (3 players)
BB bets, CO folds, Hero calls.

Results:
BB has 9h Ts (straight, jack high).
Hero has Jh Ah (one pair, jacks).

Hand 3: Villain was readable. I didn't want to fold, but I knew it was best.

Preflop: Hero is BB with Jh, As.
1 fold, Button calls, SB completes, Hero raises, Button calls, SB calls.

Flop: (6 SB) 6d, Ad, Ts (3 players)

SB checks, Hero bets, Button calls, SB calls $1 (All-In).

River: (6.75 BB) 7d (3 players, 1 all-in)

Hero bets, Button raises, Hero folds.

Results:
Button has Kd 8d (flush, ace high).
SB has 7s 6c (two pair, sevens and sixes).

Hand 4: Some may argue that a value bet here is good, but villain's coldcall of three bets makes me think he's more likely on an ace than a smaller PP.

Preflop: Hero is Button with Ks, Kc.
UTG raises, Hero 3-bets, SB calls, 1 fold, UTG calls.

Flop: (10 SB) Tc, Ah, 2c (3 players)
SB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets, SB calls, UTG folds.

Turn: (6 BB) Jh (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, SB calls.

River: (8 BB) 2s (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks.

Results:
SB has Qh As (two pair, aces and twos).
Hero has Ks Kc (two pair, kings and twos).

Hand 5: Should I have bluffed this river? There seemed to be not enough draws to warrant betting it.

Preflop: Hero is BB with 3d, 4d.
Button raises, 1 fold, Hero calls.

Flop: (4.50 SB) Ac, 9d, Jd (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets, Hero raises, Button calls.

Turn: (4.25 BB) Js (2 players)
Hero bets, Button calls.

River: (6.25 BB) 6c (2 players)
Hero checks, Button checks.

Results:
Hero has 3d 4d (one pair, jacks).
Button has Tc 7c (one pair, jacks).

Hand 6: I had to suck out and I flopped a set here. It's indicative of the problems I've been having.

Preflop: Hero is Button with 6s, 6h.
Hero raises, 1 fold, BB calls.

Flop: (4.50 SB) Jc, 6c, Qc (2 players)

BB checks, Hero bets, BB raises, Hero 3-bets, BB calls.

Results:
BB has 8c 3c (flush, queen high).
Hero has 6s 6h (full house, sixes full of queens).

Level: -$38.50 in 469 table minutes (-10 BB at $2/4)
Overall: +$268.40 in 5438 table minutes

Another big downswing. I feel I played fairly well, probably an A-/B+ game, but I got stung on a couple hands, and it only takes a couple hands to make a big swing.

Hand 1: I knew I was beat on the river. But I paid it off anyway. This is one of those spots where I wonder if it's actually better to just fold.

Preflop: Hero is MP with Ah, Kd.
1 fold, Hero raises, CO calls, Button calls, 1 fold, BB calls.

Flop: (8.50 SB) 2s, Ac, 9s (4 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, CO folds, Button calls, BB folds.

Turn: (5.25 BB) 3c (2 players)

Hero has Ah Kd (one pair, aces).
Button has Ad 7s (two pair, aces and sevens).

Hand 2: Stupid, stupid river...

Day 40-6: -$60.50 (-15 BB at $2/4)

Level: +$13.50 in 395 table minutes (+3 BB at $2/4)
Overall: +$320.40 in 5364 table minutes

I played a short session and ran into a couple bad spots. QQ runs into a set of 5s, A9 two pair runs into trip queens, and a stupid calldown with pocket 8s.

Day 39-5: -$44.50 (-11 BB at $2/4)

Level: +$77.00 in 371 table minutes (+19 BB at $2/4)
Overall: +$380.90 in 5340 table minutes

My rate of poker playing has diminished as real life has started to take over. I have two on-site interviews in the next two weeks and I've been working hard on my thesis, so I haven't had much time for poker. I squeezed in a short session today because I wanted to relax a little. This meant that I was probably not paying as close attention to my game as I should.

Hand 1: This was a bad flop bet, but a good river fold. The pot is too small to take a good stab at it. I don't think it's terribly bad, but I don't think it can possibly be neutral. If I had a backdoor flush draw, I would like it more.

Preflop: Hero is CO with Ah, Ts.
UTG calls, MP calls, Hero calls, 2 folds, BB checks.

Flop: (4.50 SB) 2d, Jc, 4s (4 players)
BB checks, UTG checks, MP checks, Hero bets, BB calls, UTG calls, MP calls.

Turn: (4.25 BB) Ks (4 players)
BB checks, UTG checks, MP checks, Hero checks.

River: (4.25 BB) As (4 players)
BB checks, UTG bets, MP raises, Hero folds, BB folds, UTG calls.

Final Pot: 8.25 BB

Results:
UTG has Qd Ad (one pair, aces).
MP has Qs 7s (flush, ace high).

Hand 2: I almost didn't bet the turn here, and I almost didn't call the river. Villain's flop check felt like AA/AQ/QQ, but when he checked again on the turn, I was starting to think KK was in there. I would have folded to a turn check-raise and lost no sleep over it.

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 8d, Ad.
Hero raises, 4 folds, BB 3-bets, Hero calls.

Flop: (6.50 SB) 5d, Qs, Ah (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks.

Turn: (3.25 BB) 9h (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, BB calls.

River: (5.25 BB) 2h (2 players)
BB bets, Hero calls.

Results:
BB has As Ac (three of a kind, aces).
Hero has 8d Ad (one pair, aces).

Hand 3: Here's an example of not paying attention. I should have folded this river. I only win if villain plays 99/AT like this.

Preflop: Hero is SB with Jc, 9s.
UTG calls, 1 fold, Button calls, Hero completes, BB raises, UTG calls, Button calls, Hero calls.

Flop: (8 SB) Td, Qd, 2s (4 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, UTG calls, Button folds, Hero calls.

Turn: (5.50 BB) 5d (3 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, UTG calls, Hero calls.

River: (8.50 BB) Jh (3 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, UTG folds, Hero calls.

Results:
BB has Ah Kd (straight, ace high).
Hero has Jc 9s (one pair, jacks).

Hand 4: Here's another example. The preflop raiser is known to be aggro preflop, but somewhat weak postflop when someone else has the lead (however, he's willing to bet out and bluff if checked to). I should have folded on the flop without having at least a backdoor flush draw. After spewing on the flop and turn, the river was an easy check-fold.

Preflop: Hero is SB with 9d, Jd.
1 fold, MP raises, CO calls, Button calls, Hero calls, BB calls.

Flop: (10 SB) 2c, Jc, 6h (5 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, MP raises, CO folds, Button folds, Hero 3-bets, BB calls, MP calls.

Turn: (9.50 BB) As (3 players)
SB bets, BB calls, MP calls.

River: (12.50 BB) 6c (3 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, MP calls, Hero folds.

Results:
BB has 3c Ac (flush, ace high).
MP has Kh Kc (two pair, kings and sixes).

Day 38-4: +$108.50 (+27 BB at $2/4)

Overall: +$425.40 in 5246 table minutes

Variance -- the great un-equalizer. Fortunately for me, I got the happy side of variance in my second session (one tabling). Some of it was simply due to playing against really bad and/or really aggressive players (plus, I got lucky a few times). I'll spend my hand posts highlighting the hands that amuse me the most.

Hand 1: I can't believe how badly he overplayed his hand. His river raise on the paired/flushed board is incredibly bad. Lucky for him, the board was paired and I didn't 3-bet him.

Preflop: Hero is BB with Ac, Jc.
1 fold, MP calls, CO calls, 2 folds, Hero raises, MP calls, CO calls.

Flop: (6.50 SB) 5c, 4c, 3s (3 players)
Hero bets, MP folds, CO calls.

Turn: (4.25 BB) 3c (2 players)
Hero bets, CO raises, Hero 3-bets, CO caps, Hero calls.

River: (12.25 BB) Qd (2 players)
Hero bets, CO raises, Hero calls.

Results:
Hero has Ac Jc (flush, ace high).
CO has 7s 6s (straight, seven high).

Hand 2: I had picked up a run of cards, and probably raised the last 4 hands, and I guess this villain decided to take a stand. The lesson here is that it's okay to play your trips fast. I doubt I would have had as much action if I waited for the turn. Granted, this villain was way over the top, but it would still be incredibly hard for him to put in two extra losing bets against a turn check-raise or something like that.

Preflop: Hero is UTG with Qc, Jc.
Hero raises, 1 fold, CO 3-bets, 2 folds, BB calls, Hero calls.

Flop: (9.50 SB) Qd, Qh, Th (3 players)

BB checks, Hero checks, CO bets, BB folds, Hero raises, CO 3-bets, Hero caps, CO calls.

Turn: (8.75 BB) 6s (2 players)
Hero bets, CO raises, Hero calls.

River: (12.75 BB) 8c (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets, Hero calls.

Results:
Hero has Qc Jc (three of a kind, queens).
CO has Ah 8s (two pair, queens and eights).

Hand 3: This is why you shouldn't bet-call when you play WA/WB. If he wanted to showdown his hand, he should have check-called the river.

Preflop: Hero is Button with 7s, Ah.
3 folds, Hero raises, 1 fold, BB calls.

Flop: (4.50 SB) Ac, 6d, 7d (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, BB calls.

Turn: (3.25 BB) 7h (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, BB calls.

River: (5.25 BB) 8d (2 players)
BB bets, Hero raises, BB calls.

Results:
BB has As 5s (two pair, aces and sevens).
Hero has 7s Ah (full house, sevens full of aces).

Hand 4: Villain's bet into the flop capper is pretty crazy.

Preflop: Hero is Button with Tc, Td.
2 folds, CO raises, Hero 3-bets, 1 fold, BB caps, CO calls, Hero calls.

Flop: (12.50 SB) Th, 2s, 4d (3 players)

BB bets, CO calls, Hero raises, BB 3-bets, CO calls, Hero caps, BB calls, CO calls.

Turn: (12.25 BB) Jh (3 players)
BB bets, CO folds, Hero raises, BB calls.

River: (16.25 BB) 4c (2 players)

BB checks, Hero bets, BB calls.

Results:
BB has Ah Ad (two pair, aces and fours).
Hero has Tc Td (full house, tens full of fours).

Hand 5: I was only going to call preflop, but with the presence of two extra players, I decided to make a nice fat pot instead. I'm impressed by MP's calldown. It's hard to imagine a capping range where 99 is ahead often enough to make it a good call. If I have AA-JJ, AQ+, AJs, and KQ+, AND if I'm going to go nuts with those hands on all 4 streets, then he beats AJ (4) and loses to AA (6), KK (3), QQ (3), JJ (6), AK (12), AQ (12), and KQ (9) [total = 51 hands]. At 14:1, that's a good call. However, by taking away a single AJ hand he's losing a lot.

Preflop: Hero is UTG with Qh, Kh.
Hero raises, MP 3-bets, Button calls, SB calls, 1 fold, Hero caps, MP calls, Button calls, SB calls.

Flop: (17 SB) 5s, Kd, 3h (4 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, MP calls, Button calls, SB calls.

Turn: (10.50 BB) 2h (4 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, MP calls, Button folds, SB folds.

River: (12.50 BB) Qc (2 players)
Hero bets, MP calls.

Results:
Hero has Qh Kh (two pair, kings and queens).
MP has 9c 9s (one pair, nines).

Day 37-3: -$122.00 (-31 BB at $2/4)

Level: +$10.00 in 185 table minutes (+3 BB at $2/4)
Overall: +$316.90 in 5154 table minutes

Variance -- the great un-equalizer. I played a short session today because I hit a bad downswing quickly (less than 30 minutes) and I'm not in the mood to settle in for a long grind to try to pull out of it. Maybe I'll come back later today and try again, but not now. I only played 28 hands, and there isn't much to post on them. It's mostly something like raising preflop, getting called, flopping nothing, betting, getting called, slowing down, still not improving, getting shown down bottom pair, and losing. I also faced a surprisingly large number of flop donks when I completely missed, which is also frustrating. But that's okay. That's the game.

Day 36-2: +$14.00 (+4 BB at $2/4)

Level: +$132.00 in 131 table minutes (+33 BB at $2/4)
Overall: +$438.90 in 5100 table minutes

I played a short session because I wanted to take a little break from typing up my preliminary chapter for my thesis. It was a relatively uninteresting session. The aggression was still higher than at the other levels. I still have some more adjustments to make.

Hand 1: UTG is known to be aggressive. However, I have not seen him get completely out of line. I had a hard time figuring him for a hand after he capped the flop. I almost wanted to bet the turn to prevent him from taking a free card if he had a spade draw. Perhaps I should have.

Preflop: Hero is BB with Ad, Ac.
UTG raises, MP 3-bets, 3 folds, BB caps, UTG calls, MP calls.

Flop: (12.50 SB) 4s, Ks, 5h (3 players)

Hero bets, UTG raises, MP folds, Hero 3-bets, UTG caps, Hero calls.

Turn: (10.25 BB) 3h (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets, Hero calls.

River: (12.25 BB) 8d (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets, Hero calls.

Results:
Hero has Ad Ac (one pair, aces).
UTG has Kd 9d (one pair, kings).

Hand 2: Dang flush getting beat by a boat. I'm very surprised he slowed down when the flush card came. I could easily have had an overpair on the flop and he would still have me crushed.

Preflop: Hero is UTG with Kd, Ad.
Hero raises, MP calls, 1 fold, SB calls, 1 fold.

Flop: (7 SB) 3c, 2d, 4d (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, MP calls, SB raises, Hero 3-bets, MP folds, SB caps, Hero calls.

Turn: (8 BB) 8d (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, SB calls.

River: (10 BB) 3h (2 players)
SB bets, Hero calls.

Results:
Hero has Kd Ad (flush, ace high).
SB has 4s 4c (full house, fours full of threes).

Hand 3: I don't know why, but I felt that villain was 3-betting light here. It turns out I was right, but even though he had the better hand preflop, I came away the big winner. His mistake was 3-betting the turn. Yes, he has top pair and an OESD, but he's very often beat when he gets check-raised there, and he should save the extra raise for when he hits the straight on the river.

Preflop: Hero is Button with 6s, Kc.
1 fold, Hero raises, SB 3-bets, 1 fold, Hero calls.

Flop: (7 SB) 6d, 4s, 5s (2 players)

SB bets, Hero calls.

Turn: (4.50 BB) Kh (2 players)
SB bets, Hero raises, SB 3-bets, Hero caps, SB calls.

River: (12.50 BB) 4h (2 players)
SB checks, Button bets, SB calls.

Results:
Hero has 6s Kc (two pair, kings and sixes).
SB has Ks 7s (two pair, kings and fours).

Monday, January 15, 2007

Day 35-1: +$118.00 (+30 BB at $1/2)

Level: +$118.00 in 60 table minutes (+30 BB at $2/4)
Overall: +$424.90 in 5029 table minutes

I stepped back to one table as I stepped up to the $2/4 game. 110 hands of happy variance later and I'm up nearly 30 BB. I don't know if I can say much in general yet, but I did see a lot more raising preflop, and a lot more 3-betting preflop. Rather than tighten up, I decided to get more aggressive as well. I need more time to feel this out.

Hand 1: Here's a hand that I misplayed early. I should have called the turn check-raise and called/raised the river on the flush/straight card. Instead, I overplayed the turn and got burned.

Preflop: Hero is BB with 4d, Ad.
4 folds, SB completes, BB raises, SB calls.

Flop: (4 SB) As, 8d, 3s (2 players)
SB checks, BB bets, SB calls.

Turn: (3 BB) 5d (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, SB raises, Hero 3-bets, SB calls.

River: (9 BB) Ah (2 players)
SB bets, Hero calls.

Results:
SB has 9d Ac (three of a kind, aces).
Hero has 4d Ad (three of a kind, aces).

Hand 2: I found myself betting the flop more often with nothing than I did before. It opened up some interesting turn/river decisions. I wasn't sure whether to bet the turn or check behind here. I'm used to betting once and giving up, but against more aggro opponents, I'll need to call more with bottom pair/no pair because I open myself up to getting bluffed on scare cards, especially if I'm betting the flop often. In this case, I was going to fold UI, and maybe not even call if I hit my 2.

Alternatively, this could indicate that I need to bet the turn more often to punish the loose peels. I'll have to wait and see.

Preflop: Hero is BB with Ah, 2h.
3 folds, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: (2 SB) 4c, 6c, Th (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, SB calls.

Turn: (2 BB) 3s (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks.

River: (2 BB) 5d (2 players)
SB bets, Hero calls.

Results:
SB has 8c 9s (high card, ten).
Hero has Ah 2h (straight, six high).

Hand 3: I'm not sure if I would have capped 99 in the past. Capping allows me to play postflop better, I think. Villain was 32/13/2.3 by the end of the night (80 hands).

Preflop: Hero is MP with 9s, 9c.
1 fold, Hero raises, CO 3-bets, 3 folds, Hero caps, CO calls.

Flop: (9.50 SB) 6s, 5c, Qc (2 players)
Hero bets, CO raises, Hero folds.

Hand 4: Villain was a bit of a jerk. I was getting the impression that he was stealing light and playing a little weak postflop, so I wanted to mix it up with some blind defense. SB was a fairly loose player (50 VPIP) and also didn't seem to be playing too well, so I didn't mind calling along to see what would happen. I think calling in this spot with such a weak hand is the Peter_Rus rule, or something like that.

This hand made the guy go on profane monkey tilt. He was probably tilting already because he was having a rough night, but I think this put him over the top and he left not too long afterward. The funny thing is that he was chasing SB the whole time. This is also why I like to play trips fast. Against an overpair, you usually get a flop raise/3-bet, sometimes a cap, and sometimes you even get a turn raise. In this case, I went for the flop check-raise because I knew he would bet any two cards in that position, and would at least peel to see the turn. I get more bets out of overcards this way, unless I can guarantee that he'll bet the turn with unimproved overs.

Preflop: Hero is BB with 7d, 5c.
3 folds, Button raises, SB calls, Hero calls.

Flop: (6 SB) 7h, 3d, 7s (3 players)

SB checks, Hero checks, Button bets, SB calls, Hero raises, Button 3-bets, SB calls, Hero caps, Button calls, SB calls.

Turn: (9 BB) 8c (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, Button calls, SB calls.

River: (12 BB) 7c (3 players)
SB bets, Hero raises, Button calls, SB calls.

Results:
SB has Ad Ah (full house, sevens full of aces).
Hero has 7d 5c (four of a kind, sevens).
Button has Jh Jd (full house, sevens full of jacks).

Stats: $1/2 (1/13/2007)

Less than a month has passed and I've already cleared the second stage of the challenge. It took only about 40% as many sessions to make it as it did the first stage, which I attribute to good and bad variance. Anyway, I'll go through a quick analysis of my stats for this stage.

Even though I've only had about 2000 hands at this level, that's enough to indicate a couple trends. First of all, I'm playing tighter than I did at $.50/1. I don't believe that this is only variance, as I'm quite sure that the preflop raising at $1/2 is more frequent than at $.50/1, which means I get to limp in less with 4-5 handed pots and I don't get to steal quite as often (since someone is beating me to it). However, 22/15 stats are still pretty solid, even if not as loose as they could be. If I played better, I could probably get away with a few more 3-bets preflop, which would bump me up to something like 25/20, but I'm content with things as they are now.

I'm curious to see how the $2/4 game will be different. Although I have no direct knowledge to back this up, I've always been under the impression that the $2/4 and $3/6 games are basically the same as $1/2, and perhaps even softer. I don't know why this is, but I'm pretty sure that when I was playing $2/4 full ring, that game was fairly tough compared to things I heard about at $3/6 and even $5/10. So perhaps there's just a little anomaly there.

I also want to point out that to get to $3/6, I only need to have a $600 bankroll, which is only a $200 jump from what I have at $2/4. So it might go by fast.

For the last couple weeks, I haven't had time for online poker, which isn't to say that I haven't had time for poker. From January 4 through January 8, I was at a math conference in New Orlenas. I found some time for live NL at Harrah's (just two blocks from where I was staying) and came out a solid $350 ahead for my time (about 4 hours at $1-2). But it's good to get back to the game that I really like (even if it isn't as profitable).

With my big upswing today, I have cleared the $1/2 level and am moving on to $2/4. But not before posting a few hands and some more stats (stats will be on a separate post).

Hand 1: No, I didn't cap preflop. Villain has pretty solid stats and has played a fairly clean game, so I called here because I felt there was some deception value. I hate that he checked the flop. I hate that he called the turn bet. But on the river, I have too much of a hand to check-fold, not enough of a hand to check-call (because he would need to bluff a huge percent of the time for a check-call to be right, and I didn't think he would), so I took the bet-fold option. I'm pretty sure he had KQ/AQ here, but I won't ever know for sure.

Preflop: Hero is SB with Ah, Ad. CO posts a blind of $1.

River: (6 BB) 2d (2 players)
Herp bets, BB raises, Hero folds.

Hand 2: I don't mind folding AK on a paired board to this flop bet. A loose peel would also have been fine with the backdoor flush draw to bail me out sometimes, but SB was a little bit passive and I didn't like that he donked.

Preflop: Hero is BB with Kc, Ad.
3 folds, Button calls, SB completes, BB raises, Button calls, SB calls.

Flop: (6 SB) Qd, 8d, Qh (3 players)
SB bets, Hero folds, Button calls.

Turn: (4 BB) 3s (2 players)
SB bets, Button folds.

Hand 3: Quads are fun. I'm just very surprised I didn't get any action from villain. That's too bad.

Preflop: Hero is SB with Ah, 7c.
1 fold, MP calls, 1 fold, Hero completes, BB checks.

Flop: (3 SB) Kc, 7d, Jd (3 players)
Hero bets, BB folds, MP calls.

Turn: (2.50 BB) 7s (2 players)

Hero has 2d Ah (flush, ace high).
UTG has Jh Qh (flush, queen high).
Button has 9h 5h (flush, ten high).

Hand 5: Here's one that I botched against an aggressive player. Villain has been raising a lot preflop, but has been a little weak postflop. The turn donk was an attempt to knock out various ace-high hands that he might be holding. When he called the turn bet and I paired up on the river, I should have either check-called or bet-folded. Bet-calling is a bad play.

Preflop: Hero is BB with Ts, Kh.
1 fold, Button raises, 1 fold, Hero calls.

Flop: (4.50 SB) 6d, 4s, 4h (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets, Hero calls.

Turn: (3.25 BB) 8c (2 players)
Hero bets, Button calls.

Hero bets, Button raises, Hero calls.

Results:
Hero has Ts Kh (two pair, kings and fours).
Button has 4d Ad (three of a kind, fours).

Hand 6: The turn bet is a solid value bet. Sometimes SB has QQ and gets scared, but he also has AQ/AT/TT/99 and I get to squeeze value out of some of those, plus there's MP who is just hanging around as well.

Preflop: Hero is Button with Js, Ts.
1 fold, MP calls, Button raises, SB 3-bets, 1 fold, MP calls, Hero calls.
