Day 36-2: +$14.00 (+4 BB at $2/4)

Level: +$132.00 in 131 table minutes (+33 BB at $2/4)
Overall: +$438.90 in 5100 table minutes

I played a short session because I wanted to take a little break from typing up my preliminary chapter for my thesis. It was a relatively uninteresting session. The aggression was still higher than at the other levels. I still have some more adjustments to make.

Hand 1: UTG is known to be aggressive. However, I have not seen him get completely out of line. I had a hard time figuring him for a hand after he capped the flop. I almost wanted to bet the turn to prevent him from taking a free card if he had a spade draw. Perhaps I should have.

Preflop: Hero is BB with Ad, Ac.
UTG raises, MP 3-bets, 3 folds, BB caps, UTG calls, MP calls.

Flop: (12.50 SB) 4s, Ks, 5h (3 players)

Hero bets, UTG raises, MP folds, Hero 3-bets, UTG caps, Hero calls.

Turn: (10.25 BB) 3h (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets, Hero calls.

River: (12.25 BB) 8d (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets, Hero calls.

Results:
Hero has Ad Ac (one pair, aces).
UTG has Kd 9d (one pair, kings).

Hand 2: Dang flush getting beat by a boat. I'm very surprised he slowed down when the flush card came. I could easily have had an overpair on the flop and he would still have me crushed.

Preflop: Hero is UTG with Kd, Ad.
Hero raises, MP calls, 1 fold, SB calls, 1 fold.

Flop: (7 SB) 3c, 2d, 4d (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, MP calls, SB raises, Hero 3-bets, MP folds, SB caps, Hero calls.

Turn: (8 BB) 8d (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, SB calls.

River: (10 BB) 3h (2 players)
SB bets, Hero calls.

Results:
Hero has Kd Ad (flush, ace high).
SB has 4s 4c (full house, fours full of threes).

Hand 3: I don't know why, but I felt that villain was 3-betting light here. It turns out I was right, but even though he had the better hand preflop, I came away the big winner. His mistake was 3-betting the turn. Yes, he has top pair and an OESD, but he's very often beat when he gets check-raised there, and he should save the extra raise for when he hits the straight on the river.

Preflop: Hero is Button with 6s, Kc.
1 fold, Hero raises, SB 3-bets, 1 fold, Hero calls.

Flop: (7 SB) 6d, 4s, 5s (2 players)

SB bets, Hero calls.

Turn: (4.50 BB) Kh (2 players)
SB bets, Hero raises, SB 3-bets, Hero caps, SB calls.

River: (12.50 BB) 4h (2 players)
SB checks, Button bets, SB calls.

Results:
Hero has 6s Kc (two pair, kings and sixes).
SB has Ks 7s (two pair, kings and fours).
