Day 55-3: +$125.50 (+31 BB at $2/4)

Level: +$121.50 in 6.17 table hours (+30 BB at $2/4)
Overall: +$441.65 in 116.33 table hours

Horray for a nice rush of cards. Almost everything from today came from the winnings of just one of the two tables. The other table fluctuated wildly and ended up breaking even. One of the down sides of running hot is that you feel like you're playing perfectly and everything is going your way.

Hand 1: River check? This villain had been donking a lot of hands when I check to him, so I was hoping to induce a bluff from a missed flush draw. It failed, but I don't think he was calling anyway. I think it's a good check against aggressive villains who won't be able to keep themselves from bluffing or even value betting. (Try to squeeze a value check-raise? That would be fun. I'll have to think about that because I don't value check raise the river very often.)

Preflop: Hero is BB with Ah, As.
1 fold, MP calls, 3 folds, Hero raises, MP calls.

Flop: (4.50 SB) Qd, Kd, 9d (2 players)
Hero bets, MP calls.

Turn: (3.25 BB) 5c (2 players)
Hero bets, MP calls.

River: (5.25 BB) 4s (2 players)
Hero checks, MP checks.

Results:
Hero has Ah As (one pair, aces).
MP has 8h Tc (high card, king).

Hand 2: Here's a wild hand that I wasn't sure what to do with. The pot was so big on the flop I felt that I had no choice but to raise. However, when he checked the turn, I don't think it was a good place to bluff, despite the huge pot because his flop 3-bet indicates that he's likely getting to showdown. I actually bet the river, but he had a terrible connection and timed-out, going all-in. Too bad it didn't get a fold...

Preflop: Hero is Button with Ac, Qc.
UTG raises, 1 fold, CO calls, Hero 3-bets, SB caps, 1 fold, UTG calls, CO calls, Hero calls.

Flop: (17 SB) 2h, 4h, 8s (4 players)

River: (13.50 BB) 6h (2 players)

Results:
CO has 2c 4c (two pair, fours and twos).
Hero has Ac Qc (high card, ace).

Hand 3: I don't always like to 3-bet preflop with strong drawing hands OOP. I would rather give up the initiative and small value edge for having relative position on the preflop raiser. I think as I get better, I could probably milk more value out of these hands.

Preflop: Hero is SB with Jd, Ad.
UTG raises, MP calls, 1 fold, Button calls, Hero calls, BB calls.

Flop: (10 SB) As, 2d, Ks (5 players)

Turn: (5 BB) 3s (5 players)
Hero bets, BB calls, UTG folds, MP calls, Button folds.

River: (8 BB) Qh (3 players)
Hero bets, BB folds, MP folds.

Hand 4: The turn check-raise was pretty uncomfortable, which was why I didn't 3-bet. I don't like 3-betting turn raises/check-raises because I'm very used to them being monsters. But when he checked the river to me, I had no choice but to value bet it.

Preflop: Hero is Button with Ac, Jc.
